WELCOME BACK TO REMOTE LEARNING  w/c 4th January

Welcome back to remote learning Robins.  I am sorry we can't be back at school at the moment, but we are going to make sure that your learning at home is fun and engaging and make sure we keep in touch!  Here is a copy of the plan for this week.  Please do not feel that you have to do everything on the plan, but try to focus on the English and maths and do one other thing that interests you!  I look forward to hearing how you've been getting on on Seesaw!

w/c 4/01/21 remote learning plan

Phonics

It is especially important for Year 1s to keep practising their phonics.  A good online resource whiich offers resources similar to what we do in class is:

Letters and Sounds

and I have set up many activities to practise diagraphs on

Education City

PE

It's really important for all children to stay as active as possible.  I would recommend at least 30 minutes per day of exercise.  Here are some ideas:

kids Zumba

Go Noodle

Andy's Wild workouts

Cosmic Kids Yoga and Meditation

 Just Dance

PSHE (Personal Social Heath Economic Education)

It is really important that we look after our well being at this challenging time.  Please have a look at the lesson provided to start you off:

PSHE lesson 1

Reading

I know it is going to be difficult to get hold of enough reading books to encourage daily reading.   For now I have found these 2 sources for free but I will look for other options:

Oxford Owl
