Eagles Class Summer Term 2018

Eagles Impress Mrs Hughes and Mrs Williams - July 2018

Our final homework of the year was a slightly strange one! We were asked to do something that we thought would surprise or impress Mrs Hughes and Mrs Williams. We could do anything we wanted as long as we could speak about it in front of the class and it showed something about us: a talent, a hobby or just something that we are passionate about.

There was a whole host of surprises including Tom's Lego Animation, Alex's presentation all about the Megladon, Mattie playing the piano and Archie telling us all about goats!

We loved this week's homework; we think Mrs Williams and Mrs Hughes were suitably impressed!

Our Science Fiction Stories - June 2018

We have been busy writing science fiction stories based on the video 'Eye of the Storm'. This is brilliant video as we loved the character, the atmosphere and the fact that it made us ask lots of questions.

As he travels towards the eye, we thought about would might happen next, where he might end up, what his mission may be and how his story could end. We then planned and wrote stories to answer some of these questions. Here are a couple of examples. Enjoy Chloe's story called 'Inside the Storm' and Callum's called 'The Pearl of Darkness'.

Eagles' Young Apprentice Project

For the past few weeks, we have been learning all about the world of business through becoming Young Apprentices. To launch the project, we came into school in our business clothes and we learnt how to write a CV ; how to write a personal statement; employability skills and created our own businesses.

Here are the pictures of each company on our launch day!

We can't wait to get stuck in and see just how far we can make £5 grow!

Eagles begin learning all about the Hoverbike! - May 2016

Eagles' Eye of the Storm and Hoverbike topics began this week. Over the coming weeks, we will be doing lots of writing based on these short animations. We really enjoyed watching the film and it really got us thinking about how we would like to be able to travel in style! Watch 'Eye of the Storm' below:

Eagles try and solve the mystery!

In maths, we have been trying to solve a very mysterious case using vital data to help us. It is a case of murder and intrigue! The victim was Tom, a painter, who was savagely pushed out of a hotel Bell Tower, causing him serious injury. There were five suspects who all seemed to have a motive and so we looked at some vital evidence that might point towards the culprit!

We have looked at the pulse rates of the 6 people involved across the day and produced bar charts and line graphs to help us understand the data better. We have found the average pulse rate for each person to see if that helps us to work out the culprit. At the moment, lots of us believe that John is responsible. Watch this space for further updates!
